What are people saying about Ole South USA......
Hi, |
|
Is there any additional information on the future park? I’m excited that this may be coming to our area. D. Lucas |

To Whom It May Concern, We support the development of your Ole' South Experience Theme Park on the lines of Maury and Marshall County. In fact, we invite it! Let's face it, tourists just don't want to deal with the big city traffic in order to take their families to theme parks, etc.. When they built the Casinos out in the middle of nowhere in Tunica, Mississippi they made it worth driving to from all over the US. We have friends and family, that visit there from all over every year because they don't have to fight city traffic. Opryland Theme Park, was such a great place for the family and everyone, but when it closed down, we were in shock!! Marshall County used to have a yearly event called, "Frog Bottom" where musicians from all over the area used to gather once a year and play Bluegrass Music all weekend! It was a wonderful event to take your whole family to, but they stopped having it. Let's face it, today there just aren't enough places to take your kids and not have to worry about what you'll find when you get there. We have family and friends in all corners of the US and they visit here every year. We don't have anyplace to take them, except restaurants. That's not so bad, but you can't eat all the time! Welcome to our state, we need your park! S. Davison Maury Co. resident |

I live in Lewisburg, TN. We’re ten minutes west of I-65 on exit 37. I believe the park will be very close to us, and my family is very excited about it. I would love to stay updated on the progress being made. Will you post the progress on your Website? Thanks! L. Noble

I am a resident of Marshall County. I
am optimistic and hopeful that you will be successful
in establishing your park in Middle Tennessee. My husband and I
have three children and are disappointed with the lack of options
for family-oriented entertainment in our area. We need something
here that will help boost the economy and give our young people
something to do that is both culture-rich and entertaining.
Best of luck!

Hello, I hope that this is a reality,, as a former entertainer at Opryland USA, I think it would outstanding to have another quality theme park back in middle Tennessee ,, all the best to you in your endeavors,,, and when will the “official” announcement concerning ground breaking be announces,,, Is 2010 a realistic target date to open,, and will this be more of a “show” park as Opryalnd was,, or a “Thrill Park””, much like the Six Flags brand. or a combination of both? Again the best to you, D. Baggett |
|
Greetings, Thank you for your response to my email last week. I must say that once again, the excitement that you have created about your park is outstanding. Last month the residents of Murfreesboro like myself participated in an online discussion with the creator of the proposed bible park. During the discussion he explained that there would be no roller coasters or large water rides, the only thing he proposed was LOW LEVEL IN DOOR RIDES. I do not know or have ever heard of something called low level rides, but if that is the case, I think they are already at the TN state fair. Enough about the bible park, I trust from the info on your web site you will be much more advanced. I also understand that building a theme park cost millions of dollars, that is why I hope that you will get TAX HELP from our government to fund the park. I look forward to hearing from you soon, take care and I will be spreading the word around MTSU about your responses about the new park.
Thank you for your time,
R. Harding |

I can't wait to see more about your park! Will you be building
in phases, if so, will the main attraction be the theme park or
is that just a throw in bonus? I read the descriptions on each
of the links, you don't mention much other than the theme park,
though you do list other things... M. Grove. |

| Hello,

I'm very interested and a big supporter! My family lives in the immediate
area (Rally Hill)!

|
Please come to TN. Can hardly wait!
Thank you. Linda H. |

Hi, Oh this all sounds so exciting. I can't wait. I was truly saddened when Opryland closed. I had so many wonderful childhood memories there, my husband and I went on dates there when we were dating and continued after we were married. When it closed it's like a big part of the kid in all of us died. I'm also glad the new park will be sharing the atmosphere of the family theme park and music roots. I know this is a place we will be carrying our son to make some childhood memories of his own. Kimberly H. Pulaski, Tn

I live close to the proposed area and would love to hear more news as it
becomes available. I think it is an ABSOLUTELY wonderful idea and will be GREAT
for our community.
Please don’t let this project die; this area needs something like this desperately! Thanks JKatina H. |
|
Please let me know I have 13 grandkids that will be going a lot. Cathy |
|
I just wanted to tell you that I can't wait for this to come. I remember as a
child going to Opryland. It was so much fun. It will be awesome to have a park so
close to home that I can take my children to one day. Thank you!! Tammi F. Pulaski |
|
Please make this theme park happen. I don’t want to go back to the Louisville
Six Flags where the girl lost her legs. I want to go to a new theme park 30
miles from my house. This is great! Kelsey |
|
HELLO,
LOOKING FORWARD TO THE AMUSEMENT THEME PARK TO OPEN AND BECOME A REALITY!!!!! THANK YOU!!! EDDIE |
|
Great News! Please include me in the press releases for the Ole’ South Experience Good luck with everything! James A. Columbia, TN |
| Hi. We are excited to hear about the upscale park you are planning for this piece of property in north Maury county. |
|
I just want to say thank you! I have been complaining ever
since Opryland left. I hate that middle Tennesseans had to travel at least 3
hours in any direction to get to a theme park. Keep it up! I know this can be a
very successful venture if done right. Thank you! P. Sharp from Dickson County |
|
Dear Ole' South USA, Wonderful!!! We're so happy to hear your news of progress regarding the project:)) Everyone I've talked to is excited by the idea and hopeful that it becomes a reality! Thank you for the update! S. Davison |
|
I'm so excited over the prospect of a new park and some
new roller coasters closer to my home. Thanks! Jerry B. Madison, AL |
|
Just wanted to say how exciting the news is regarding this
new park,, Also will you have an entertainment dept, that will hold additions?,,
I am a magician who specializes in family entertainment, I have worked for
several theme parks , Opryland, Guntown Mountain and Holiday World,, would love
to have an opportunity to audition for Ole South,, I think it is fantastic that
Middle Tennessee will once again have a first class theme park that families can
spend quality time together… CONGRATS!!!! All the best Don |
|
Sure hope you follow through with this OleSouthUSA. We
have missed Opryland so much. They should never have closed it. This would be
wonderful--so close to home and not in a big city. Thank you. J & L |
|
When my children were young we ALWAYS bought season passes
every year to Opryland. It was great we could take the kids up and spend a few
hours and come home. No pressure to do it all everytime we went. Always went for
the special dates like, Christmas, Easter, and Halloween. My children always
said they were going to work at Opryland when they got old enought. Unfortunatly
it closed so we are really exicited about a theme park in Middle TN. Thank You |
| We are so excited about the park!! Please keep us posted with any new
information. Thanks, Debbi |
|
Thank You so much for coming to the area. L. Barry |
|
t's time to bring music back
to Middle Tennessee!!!!!!! We can see that Ole' South can help this area redefine itself with our legacy as Music Capital of the world; wonderful, southern roots and family living. We need more here than sports and more malls. While serving a certain segment of our population they have proven to be a sad substitute for families since Opryland left. Bring on the Ole' South Park! It will be great for those of us here in Marshall & Maury counties and just what all of Middle Tennessee needs. W Hendricks |
|
THIS SOUNDS GREAT! THANKYOU! T. NACKE CULLEOKA TN |
|
As a resident off 431 in Maury County/Marshall county line, I think this
would go over great down here!! I am sure that there will not be much
opposition to this as long as the impact study had a good recommendation for the
traffic flow. When this goes to a vote we would like to attend to give our
support if that is possible... R. Funk |
| WOW! This looks awesome! I found your site while reading about the bible park to be built in Blackman. Thanks to whoever placed your web address there. |
| Thank you for doing this. I think this park would be great for ALL OF
MIDDLE TN unlike the Bible Park proposed in Blackman / Murfreesboro. You will
have a true vacation place for the entire family that I believe will do very
well. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK and KEEP MOVING FORWARD! Hopefully you will be
discouraging the Bible Park from coming to Blackman! AJ – Murfreesboro TN! |
|
Can't wait for this park to open!! W. Schroeder |
|
I am looking forward to having a Theme Park back in the
area. I use to have a season pass to Operland years ago, and miss not been able
to go. Marshall and Maury would be a great location, it would help for traffic
reason and avoid high traffic areas that we have in the Nashville Area. W. Berry |
|
That looks exciting, from the sketch of the layout. I
would obviously love for it to be near Columbia/Lewisburg, since I live just
south of the Tennessee/Alabama line, but would take my family as often as
possible, even if it were in the Nashville area. Wish it were already completed. Tim |
|
My family and I would like to receive emails and
updates on this project we are looking forward to enjoying the atmosphere. If
there is anything we can do just let us know. Thanks for bringing back the Ole
South S. Casey |
|
The map layout looks like a well designed theme park
experience. I hope that the project manifests as the area needs something along
these lines. I wish you the best. G. Siessel |
|
This sounds great! We really need a theme park in
middle TN again. Please keep me informed about the park. Ann. R. |
|
I would love to see this happen. I hope the park does
come to be and I hope quality shows as well as great rides will all be a part of
this. I would love to be on your mailing list! I wish you all the best as you
work for this great cause. Bill L. |
|
I can't wait, and hope that it comes here! A. Whitworth |
| This is a wonderful thing that you are doing, this area needs this as does Tennessee. I do know that there are some who do not like this coming to the area, but for selfish reasons they do not realize the impact to the area and the value of who the people of many states will love and enjoy you quest. I just wish I had the funds to be a part of this great venture, keep your vision going. And so many still do not even know a thing about this coming to our area, or any area. Once it breaks you will have the best of people at your side, as well as the country music people. Never give way to any one who gives any a Word about Ole' South USA The Best to YOU. |
|
Hooray...I'm very excited about this park!
Please add me to the email list. I would also love to attend any public
meetings/hearings to show support. Thanks!

This looks fantastic! I cannot wait to have a theme
park within a few miles of my home. I live in Middle Tennessee and we are
overdue for a new theme park and resort experience! Please keep me updated T. Reed |

Dear Mr. Webb I'm truly looking forward for the chance to come down to "The Ole South". In a day when some parks with years of history are closing, it is quite refreshing to hear of a new park opening. I was truely sad when Opryland U.S.A. closed and I never had a chance to experience it. I do wish you GREAT success and maybe one day I'll shake your hand while waiting to ride! Sincerely, T Reynolds |
|
I hear the music and smell the good food from my
Louisiana home just by reading your plans. My husband grew up in South Carolina. We are going through him recovering from three strokes but you and your plans bring sunshine into our lives. We need this dream of yours to become a reality because we aren't able to travel like we used too. With high gas prices it robs local families from having a vacation. God bless you, David. G. Mills |
|
It is about time that Mid, TN
get a park again. i
worked at Opryland all through high school and always had a pass to go wher
ever we wanted to . we need another park. lwt us know if there is anything
we can do to help out.. J. Adams |
|
If you do decide on the Marshall- Maury site for
the park I would live less than 5 miles from it and have no problem. It will
be good to have a park for the family and friend to get together. I would
love the opportunity to be a part of the development in some way. I am 59
and my husband is retiring in June 2008. we drive 130 miles to work each day
and would like to chance to be able to work part time close to home. I love
people since I am in the Human Resource field, maybe I could be of help in
that line of being involved. N. Smith |
|
Your plans look very exciting. What is
the time frame? I am a project manager at Saturn and will be retiring next
year and would be very excited to be a part of this huge undertaking. It
will be an enormous boom to the area and would be a great challenge. Keep
up the progress! Cathy B. |
|
I am very excited about the new park. I live in
Lewisburg and know that your park will be great for children and
adults. We do not have anything in our area for our children. My boys
are now grown, however, while they were growing up the only option was
bowling. Also, this is going to be great for our economy. Can you give
me more information as to when you feel that you will begin building and
when you anticipate job postings available?
Thank you and good luck.
I look forward to hearing from you.
C.M. in Lewisburg

This
is a no-brainer! Nashville needs a major family entertainment attraction. We
have to be one of the largest U.S. cities without a theme park!! I will buy
season passes...this is long overdue. D & W Schroder |
|
Ironically,
I was working up in that area on Wednesday and was curious as to how the
project was progressing. With the price of gasoline so expensive, I know I would have purchased season passes to Ole South USA and would have taken my family to it many times this summer. The site location is about 1 hour drive from where we live just south of the Alabama/Tennessee state line. We have been to Alabama Adventure, and have plans to go to Lake Winnepesaukah in the next couple of weeks, but both are not close enough to purchase season passes in anticipation of making multiple trips due to the high cost of travel right now.
I would also be interested in seeing how my skills might
be of use in the future when you get ready to hire more staff. My expertise
is in teaching/training and advanced planning. |
|
Mr. Webb, yes, you have our support. We think that it
would be a great job opportunity for the people in both counties. We think
that it would benefit the community immensely. Good luck, and thank you for
getting back to us so quickly.
D and M Findlay. |
| Not only am I excited that you are coming, I want to work for you. So when you get your HR department in place, let me know. |
|
Hi, Hope your idea and plan will go through some day!!! G. West Columbia, TN |
|
Wonderful...........This is great.
G. Hewitt, Lewisburg, Tn.
|
|
I am
very pleased with the new location plan. The site is very accessible from
the highway with 431 being an alternate traffic route for congestion. I
wish you success with this plan. J. Christenberry |
|
Just wanted to say we are excited about
the plans for a theme park in our area. We live 8 miles from the
proposed site and it would be a wonderful opportunity for both
employment and amusement for our kids. We hope all goes as planned.
Please keep us informed.

To
whom it may concern, It's obvious that this seems like a real deal but let me just encourage the investors and tell them this would be a GREAT investment opportunity. Along with MANY others I am a huge supporter and hope this get off the drawing table and into development soon. I know that I would definitely be a season pass holder. It would also be a great place to "get-away" to on weekends even though I live close (Nashville) Please pursue this as much as possible because I am anxious. Good luck! Chip C. |

Hello,
I'm a resident of Lebanon, TN and I've emailed a
couple times before. I wanted to know if Ole South is still considering
building the resort in or near Lebanon. I'm really pushing for Ole
South, because I think it will do way better than the Bible Park that is
trying to be built in Lebanon. The residents are looking for an
amusement park, not an "edutainment" experience. I've asked many people
who live in and near Lebanon about the Bible Park plans, while some are
miss-informed that Bible Park will be an amusement park, others who
understand what it really is don't seem too thrilled about it. There
supposed to be an agreement made with Bible Park and Lebanon within the
next two weeks and hopefully the plans are turned down, but our mayor
sounds very interested in it. I'm sure where ever in middle TN Ole South
is built, it will wipe Bible Park off the map. Good luck with the
plans!!!

I am beginning to have grandchildren and this
would be a great place to entertain them with their friends. I am a
Rally Hill citizen and would love to have our area shine like Nashville
with this new pleasure park.
